What if my baby cries during the shoot?

It's all good! It happens. In fact, it happens 9/10 times. It's honestly just part of the process, and the best way to handle it is to laugh it off. Babies cry, especially when they're in unfamiliar environments.
To help avoid this, I will first try to get your baby to feel comfortable with me and my camera by spending time with them before we start taking photos. I'll even let them look at my camera so they're not afraid or intimidated by it.

What should I wear?

At the time of your booking, I will send over a wardrobe guide that will help you piece together outfits for the whole family! It's got everything you need to know about wardrobe coordination.

Do you provide any props?

Personally, I like to keep the sessions focused on the connection between you and your littles, so I avoid props! The only time I use props is during cake smash sessions and those props are provided by the client since each session is unique to the theme of the birthday!

Where can we do the shoot?

There are botanical gardens, beaches, fields, parks, and hiking trails all around LA that photograph beautifully. You decide if you prefer a forest look, beach look, garden look, etc., and I'll give you suggestions on locations. We can also do the shoot in your own home to get some sweet cuddle shots in bed or some fun shots of the family baking cookies together!
(I’m available to travel for your shoot as well!)

What should I bring to the shoot?

Water
Sunscreen
Wipes
Snacks
Favorite toys for the kids (NO portable devices like iPhones, iPads. Handing a kid an iPhone during a photoshoot is the fastest way to end the entire session)
Comfortable shoes for walking

Can I bring my pets?

I looooove animals! Your fur-babies are definitely welcome to join us in the shoot, but make sure you bring an extra set of helping hands to watch them when we're doing photos of just you and the fam, otherwise it will be a catastrophe. (Trust me, I've learned this the hard way.)

Can my nanny/parents/siblings come?

If Grandma or Auntie or your Nanny want some photos with the kiddos, I totally understand, and we can arrange that.
BUT I do not recommend that they stay for the entirety of the shoot, because when there are too many adults trying to get a child's attention, the child will get overwhelmed and over-stimulated. In my experience, it's best to just have one or two designated people to help get the baby interacting with the camera, and everyone else step aside and out of sight. (I have also learned this the hard way.)
